Craft Division

The Design Group Craft division focuses on three categories within the large craft industry. These categories include sewing patterns, ribbon/craft notions and general craft/needle arts. The craft division teams develop both branded and private label products for craft, mass and ecommerce retailers. Design Group’s craft division is a one stop shop for retailers allowing them to offer branded products the craft consumer needs from sewing patterns, buttons, ribbon, accessories, yarn implements as well as craft kits for adults and children, to name just a few.

Sewing Patterns

The sewing pattern team offices are in New York City, the Big 4 sewing brands, Butterick, McCalls, Simplicity and Vogue are merchandised, designed and produced in this office. The sewing pattern division focuses on the latest consumer trends with the goal of making each sewing project successful whether for a beginner or sewing enthusiast. Sewing patterns are sold at major US retailers including Amazon, Hobby Lobby, JoAnn and Walmart to name a few. Sewing patterns are also sold in Australia, Canada, Europe and UK. All patterns are manufactured in the USA and are completely recyclable.

Craft Notions

The ribbon/craft notions team offices are in Budd Lake, NJ. The Offray brand of woven ribbon is designed and merchandised at this location. Simplicity branded trim, braids and cords, Wright’s bias tapes, rick rack and blanket binding are managed by the craft notions team. Product Development for sewing and craft buttons branded La Petite and La Mode among many others and Bondex iron-on repair patches are also designed at this location.

Needle Arts General Craft

The needle arts craft team is based in Wyomissing, PA. This team develops a wide range of crafting kits and supplies under several well-known brand names. The world-famous Perler brand includes fusible bead kits and accessories. The Dimensions brand name includes cross stitch, embroidery, latch hook, and punch needle kits. High-quality paint by number kits are developed under the PaintWorks brand name. This team also works on the Boye brand of crochet and knitting supplies and looms, the EZ Quilting brand of tools and templates for quilters, Simplicity appliqués, and Inkadinkado rubber stamps.
